It’s hard to rank all the dumb things Urban Meyer has done at Jacksonville — but we're gonna try

I am not sure who ordered the hit on Urban Meyer, but the NFL Network's Tom Pelissero went No Country for Old Coaches on the Jacksonville Jaguars head man Saturday morning delivering a devastating indictment of his first and maybe last year (mis)leading the team. The piece uses bullet points to list off Meyer's transgressions over the past two weeks alone, on top of the usual "He's 2-10) and lost his locker room" stuff you find in a story about a struggling coach.

I will take it a step further and rank them from the worst to the best, instead of doing the same thing that Pelissero did. Think of Idiot of the month, but with a specific idiocy.

They were going to be called fireable offenses, however, Jags owner Shad Khan's loyalty appears to be a more fatal flaw than his way too prominent mustache, as he has given long leashes to bad coaches such as Gus Bradley and Doug Marrone before, and it appears he wants

There are a number of things Meyer has done that the Jags could use to dismiss him without cause, but Khan thinks it takes time to build culture because that is what worked for him in the car bumper industry. I am on the side of patience, but testing the limits with a talent likeTrevor Lawrence is incredibly irresponsible.

On to Cleveland.

6. Urban is the only one who snitched on himself, so a lot of coaches probably did this because being vaccine is cool. You can't admit to being biased towards certain people. This is NFL 101. All prejudice must be stated in emails before you are hired so that it can be used to fire you later.

At Amazon, you can buy AirPods 2 for $100.

5. Meyer was fined $100,000 by the NFL for violating organized team activity rules. It seems like a small mistake, but I am supposed to be making jokes about Meyer, so we will call it intentional and over-lording by an egomaniac.

4. There are more players upset with Meyer than just the receivers, so Marvin Jones leaving the facility because he was done with the coach's private and public criticism of the receiving corps, team officials begging him to come back, him coming back and arguing with Meyer during practice isn't Alienating

3. The benching of James Robinson for fumbling in the loss to the Rams was normal until you learn that Meyer had the running backs coach stop Robinson from returning to the game and stuck with Carlos Hyde. The quarterback has had enough problems on the field so you would think it would be beneficial for him to ask questions and get coaching instead of mediation.

2. Meyer allegedly said he was a winner and his coaching staff were loser, challenging each to pull out their resume during a staff meeting. He lost a couple guys to outside jobs, one due to personal reasons, and another because he was the racist strength trainer from the Iowa football scandal and had to resign after the team got called out for his hiring.

1. We all knew what the first thing was going to be. He referred to himself as an "asshole idiot" during his mea culpa speech to his team, which is what he referred to himself as for feeling up a woman who is not your wife at a steakhouse after your team flew ahead following a loss. He is the face of it and I am not going to act like he is the first coach to step out on his wife. If this happened to another coach, people would call it pulling an urban, because Jon Gruden would get more than he can eat at a Vegas buffet.

Mr. Khan, best of luck playing the long con.
