The Arizona men's basketball players and their coaches called the ride-sharing service to get to Illinois after their flight was diverted because of low visibility.

There were tornadoes, snow and heavy rains in the Midwest.

The University of Illinois' Willard Airport was supposed to be the location of the Arizona plane's landing on Friday evening, but the weather made that impossible. Rather than waiting for buses to come, players and coaches took two-hour trips.

The current cost of an ride in an automobile is $127 from Indianapolis International Airport to Champaign. It could have been much higher Friday evening.

Tommy Lloyd is in his first year as Arizona's coach. Illinois won at Iowa on Monday to extend its winning streak to five games.

Nathan Wiechers said everyone is okay. No issues at all. The diversion was made because of the weather in Champaign.

The Midwest has been devastated by the severe weather.

The Amazon warehouse in Illinois collapsed, killing multiple people. Rescuers were on the scene of the collapsed candle factory on Saturday morning. More than 100 people were in the building when it collapsed, according to Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear.

In Arkansas and Tennessee, there were deaths tied to the weather.
