Nigeria Bans Emirates From Flying To Lagos

The Nigerian government has banned the carrier from flying to Lagos and will only allow it to fly to the capital city once a week. Air Peace, a Nigerian airline, is not being granted slots at the airport because of the U.A.E.

Air Peace has been given a single weekly frequencies to both Sharjah and Abuja. Nigerian flight options are limited. The Nigerian government chooses a single business over everyone else.

The Director General of Nigeria's Civil Aviation Authority said that.

The Nigerian Government granted 21 frequencies to the airline. The airline wants to fly to Lagos on a weekly basis.

Air Peace only requested for three weekly flights to Sharjah, not even the airport. The airline only received one weekly frequency. They only gave an excuse that they don't have enough slots. Where is the justice in this? The capital flight out of Nigeria. Nigeria needs to protect its own.

After a 10 month hiatus, the operations of the airline to Nigeria resumed on December 5. The flights will be suspended again on December 12. Air Peace has an ex-Emirates plane in its fleet.
