There is an Eclipse on a polar day.
The image is copyrighted by Stephanie Ziyi Ye.

The sun stays above the horizon for periods of 24 hours or more during polar day. This fisheye timelapse image shows the Sun in multiple frames as it completes a circle in the summer sky above Union Glacier. Even though the Sun was above the horizon, Union Glacier's sky grew dark. The Sun is at the bottom of the view during the brief period of totality. The moon's shadow is visible near the edge of the eclipse path.

Tomorrow's picture is light-weekend.

A postcard from the South Pole.
The image is copyrighted by Aman Chokshi.

The December 4 eclipse of the Sun was seen as a partial eclipse from this vantage point, three quarters of a mile from the South Pole. The New Moon blocked 90 percent of the sun. The crews at the South Pole Telescope and the BICEP telescope climbed to the roof of Amundsen-Scott station's Dark Sector Laboratory to watch. The view features an image of the Sun in cold antarctic skies taken every four minutes. The raised arms of Brandon Amat, Aman Chokshi, Cheng Zhang, James Bevington and Allen Forster can be found left to right along the roof line.

Tomorrow's picture is in the dark.
