Anthony Davis will not be playing for the Los Angeles Lakers against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday.
Davis woke up with knee pain and was listed as a game-time decision.

In 25 games, Davis has averaged 24 points, 10rebounds, and 3.0 assists. He's second on the Lakers in points and first in rebound.
He missed 36 regular-season games in the 2020-21 campaign with calf and Achilles injuries. He had knee and groin issues during the first round of the playoffs.
Davis has missed one game this season. The Lakers are 13-13, seventh place in the Western Conference after a seventh place finish last season.

Despite having Davis mostly healthy, the Lakers have had a lot of issues. The team parted ways with Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Montrezl Harrell, among others, while adding players like Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony.

The chemistry issues have been caused by the roster changes. Howard and Davis got into an altercation on the bench in the Lakers' second game of the season, which led Magic Johnson to call out the team's issues.
The Lakers have a lot to figure out, but they are poised to make the playoffs for the third year in a row with the talent they acquired over the summer.
