The junior season was interesting. He was one of the top defensive players in the country, but his season was cut short by a knee injury. In seven regular-season games, he posted 34 tackles, two for loss, three turnovers, and four passes defended.

He was still a Bednarik Award finalist despite his short year.

Hamilton was left with an interesting question: Would he return for the bowl game or try to avoid future injury and keep his draft stock intact?

Hamilton decided on the latter.

He is an imposing force at the safety position. He was listed as the second-best player in the draft class on the big board. He's what the teams want in their first-round safeties.

The endzone view is my favorite part of this Kyle Hamilton INT. You can watch him eat up the ground.

Hamilton was listed as a nightmare opponent for offenses by Todd McShay.

McShay said that he has great size and closing burst. He'll line up deep in coverage, over the slot and even at the linebacker. Hamilton can blanket tight ends, and with solid ball skills and an ability to read the quarterback, he will make plays.

It doesn't come as much of a surprise that Hamilton is going to the NFL. He is a lock to be a top 10 pick.
