The new all-in-one "Superhorn" that combines a horn, alarm, and loudspeaker is rumored to be coming to the Model 3 and Model Y vehicles. This feature and more were revealed in a leaked document.
The changes listed in the document appear to be meant for European regulators. Most other manufacturers line up new features with model years. The company started adding its new self-driving computer to cars in April. In September of that year, it began including an external speaker under the Model 3 bumpers to comply with legislation requiring electric vehicles to be equipped with a pedestrian warning system.
The acoustic vehicle alerting system is a component of the external speaker add-in that emits sounds to warn nearby inattentive pedestrians. The company, known for its quirky novelties, later added new sounds that blast from the external speaker after the horn.

The current system is listed as the Superhorn (3-in-1 horn, alarm, speaker) AVAS version. A single speaker or a combination of speakers can play the AVAS sounds and play the alarm.
Some electric vehicle owners prefer silence in motion and have disconnected pedestrian warning speakers. The horn could be disabled with the new all-in-one AVAS speaker.
The list also shows that the Model 3 and Model Y will no longer use lead-acid batteries and will instead use the new 15.5V Li-ion batteries. The new Model S and Model X have the same changes.
