Everyone hated it, so Netflix canceled Cowboy Bebop

The streaming service burned through another beloved animation in search of the perfect live-action adaptation. Cowboy Bebop, the streamer's latest attempt at making an animated movie, is over. It has to stop. See you, space cowboy. You won't.

Less than a month after the season one premiere, the news comes, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Sam Barsanti reviewed the series and said that it was not a complete and irredeemable disaster, but it was not going to challenge anyone's assumptions about live-action animation.

It is a shame to see things fall apart for John Cho. Many fans were thrilled that an Asian actor had been cast in the show. In the past, the streamer used a color-blind casting approach. Adam Wingard had a lot of problems with his film.

There are problems with whitewashing in live-action animation. Fans of the original series were hopeful that the new series would be better because of Cho's casting and stylish preview.

Bebop has been derided or ignored since it was released, and it appears that it was canceled by Netflix. The show earned 74 million viewing hours in three weeks, which is a lot and makes one wonder how many hours are needed for another season. It feels like a lot of hours.
