Iron Galaxy teams with Epic Games to create Rumbleverse brawler royale

The 2nd Annual GamesBeat & Facebook Gaming Summit will be held in January of 2022. You can learn more about the event.

The game was unveiled at The Game Awards.

The title will be published by Epic Games and will be available on the PC, PS 5, PS 4, and Xbox One in 2022.

A demo of the game was shown to me by Adam Boyes and Adam Hart, and they said that up to 40 people could play the game.

This imagined universe is a place where fighting is king. Boyes said that every citizen of the city is a fighter who lives and breathes to be a champion. The Battle Barge is off the coast of the island where this game takes place. We launched the 40 of them out of the cannon at the city that you can see in the distance. They will either be a solo player or a team member in order to be a champion among their peers.

GamesBeat: Into the Metaverse 2 is a sequel to the 2nd Annual GamesBeat and Facebook Gaming Summit.

Grapital City is where players will get launched from a cannon and drop into, where there is chaos around every corner and on top of the tallest skyscrapers. The game will have players jumping from rooftop to rooftop and smashing open crates to find weapons, upgrades, and perks.

The mayor is not elected if you win the game. The seat is decided by a contest of power. I watched as the cannon shot at the enemy in a part of the city that was full of skyscrapers. You can land on a skyscraper and collect loot, but others will likely be there as well. You have to try to knock the other player off the building.

You can break a player's strength and force them to stop fighting. If you can corner a player, you can go in for the kill. You can eat chicken if you find it. The ring for the arena gets smaller and smaller, and you have to be careful not to get stuck in the gas that will kill you.

In addition to brawler customization, players can mix and match hundreds of unique items so they can stand out from the crowd.

The game is being published by the company.

Boyes said that the journey began with an idea to create an experience that was social, competitive and chaotic. We wanted to build a playground that was funny. Our love for melee combat and the team spirit of games have made them a crucial source of human interaction.

The first look event for the game will be on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on December 10. The event will be open to a select group of players who will be the first to enter Grapital City.

Interested players can sign up at this site. Early access to the game will be available on PC, PS1, and X/S consoles. The game will allow you to play it with your friends, no matter where you play.

Three years of work.

Boyes said the game took a year to take share and get signed with the publisher after the pitch for the game started in October. The development took three years.

Boyes said that they wanted to make it so that any type of player could try it out. When you see another character, there is a heart-palpitating moment, and so the idea is having a bunch of options at that point, where you can engage or run away.

The art style is more cartoon-like because the target audience is broader.

Boyes said that one of the questions was why nobody has ever tried to solve melee at scale. It needed to feel great on the controller, it needed to feel like it was in IronGalaxy. We wanted a game that was fun to play and enjoyable to watch, even if people are bad at it.

The absence of guns meant that you didn't need a huge map.

The team at Iron Galaxy has grown to over 200 people in Chicago and Florida. The team peaked at around 80 people. Iron Galaxy develops its own games, like Divekick and Extinction, but most of its business is work-for-hire.

There is a fair amount of silliness in the game.

Boyes said they drew a lot of inspiration from animated shows. It was the work of Pixar or Into the Spider-Verse. We are excited for people to get their hands on it.
