Shiro Games and publisher Funcom describe Spice Wars as a strategy game with 4X elements. There will be multiple ways to win the game, which could mean a lot of replayability.
When early access opens up, you will only be able to play single-player to start, and the campaign will be added later on, according to an FAQ sent to The Verge. There will be some similarities between the game and the movie.
Funcom is also publishing a Dune survival game developed by Nukklear. The game doesn't have a release window.
