Joe Biden To Go On ‘Tonight Show’ In First Late-Night Appearance As President

The Tonight Show announced on Thursday that President Joe Biden would be sitting down for a virtual interview with Jimmy Fallon, his first late-night talk show appearance since being elected.

Biden was the vice president when he appeared on the show.

Barack Obama did the Tonight Show in 2009, and Biden will do it in 2020.

Presidential candidates have used the talk shows as a platform. John F. Kennedy ran against Richard Nixon in 1960. Nixon was on The Jack Paar Program. Donald Trump made an appearance on the show in 2016 and the host received backlash for normalizing the controversial candidate.

The history of presidential candidates on late-night TV is very sad.
