Idris Elba failed to make Knuckles not sound sexy in the first Sonic the Hedgehog 2 trailer

Sonic The Hedgehog 2, the follow-up to Paramount Pictures, has a new trailer. The trailer was announced during tonight's Game Awards broadcast and features Sonic trying to fit into his new life on Earth and his first encounter with Knuckles.

Jim Carrey will reprise his role as Dr. Robotnik, while Ben Schwartz will reprise his role as Sonic. During the first movie post-credits scene, Tails made a brief appearance, alluding he might play a role in the inevitable sequel. Colleen O'Shaughnessey confirmed she will be playing Sonic's sidekick on December 7th, presumably due to a scheduling conflict.

The movie poster for Sonic and Dr. Robotnik was released days before the Game Awards debut.

In August, Paramount revealed international superstar and all around handsome chap, Isreal Elba, had been cast as Sonic's nemesis . The trailer gave audiences their first listen to Knuckles, a character that Elba said he would try not to make sound sexy. He failed as he couldn't sound sexy.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 will be released on April 8th and we hope it features a chemical plant zone.
