Kelly was the head coach of the Ducks from 2009 to 2012
He was the program's offensive coach in the 2007 and '08 seasons, and his fast-paced spread offense helped change the college game.
It was one of the most successful periods of football in Oregon's history. In four seasons under Kelly, the Ducks went 46-7, 2-2 in bowl games, and reached the 2010 season's BCS Championship Game, but lost to Florida State.
The Associated Press ranked Kelly's team as a Top Four team in the last three seasons.
The New Hampshire native took over as the Philadelphia Eagles head coach. He went just 28-35 in three seasons with the Birds and one with the 49ers. After two 10 win seasons in his first two NFL seasons, he was fired in 2015 after a 6-9 start to the season and only last year with the Niners following a 2-14 disaster.
After taking a year off from coaching, Kelly came back to the college game with the UCLA Bruins. In four seasons at Westwood, he's gone just 18-25, though the team finished .
If he takes the Oregon job, he would be replacing Mario Cristobal, who left for the Miami Hurricanes gig. In parts of five seasons at Oregon, Cristobal was 35-13.
