The Pacers will host the Mavericks on Friday, with the first meeting between Dallas and its former coach, Rick Carlisle, taking place in Indiana. The Raptors play the Knicks.
The Pacers and Raptors had the same opponent this week, the Washington Wizards, who were in Toronto on Sunday and in Indiana on Monday. The Wizards won in Detroit in overtime after losing to the Pacers and Raptors.
There has been a spike in the entries into the protocols with the NBA requiring all teams to test for performance enhancing drugs after Thanksgiving. Several members of the Chicago Bulls and Charlotte Hornets have entered the protocols over the past week, while the Los Angeles Lakers had a player miss one game after a positive test.
The Bulls have said that three players have tested positive for the disease.
