Sam Kerr decks pitch invader during Chelsea Women’s Champions League match

Sam Kerr was issued the worst yellow card in the history of soccer on Wednesday in the second half of the women's match against the Italians in the U.S. Kerr should get a raise because he is also doing security's job.

In the 88th minute of the game, a man came out of the stands and went to take a picture with a player. Kerr put the man to the ground with a running shoulder tackle after he was unbothered by any kind of stadium officials or police.

Kerr was shown the yellow by the referee. Why? The man fucked around, and thanks to Kerr, he found out.

If an athlete contacts a fan on a field or court regardless of how right they are, they risk legal trouble if they mess someone up. If Kerr punched this dork in the face and broke his nose, he may seek to take her to court. Kerr played this perfectly, taking the guy out and doing more for her than anyone else would be expected to do.

This dingbat had no security until Kerr took care of business. Monica Seles was stabbed in 1993, a few months before Kerr was born, and the professional sports team the size of Chelsea is not prepared for this. What if this guy had more than a photo? Do you think that things would be different if someone tried this at a men's game?

Kerr got the yellow card, but the other two should be cautioned.
