Employees at the company are participating in a work strike. The company announced a round of layoffs in the Quality Assurance department of one of its subsidiaries before the holiday season. Many other employees not in the same departments joined in solidarity with the studio workers who walked out.

Jessica Gonzalez, an employee of Blizzard who has been outspoken about her employer, has organized a donation effort to help offset the lost wages from the work strike.

After news of the layoffs at Raven Software, the studio that was known for developing several Call of Duty games converted all of its temporary staff to full-time employees. The workers are hoping for the same outcome.

According to a report by The Washington Post, workers are being asked to sign union authorization cards as unionization efforts are ramping up. The CWA and A Better ABK have worked together since news of rampant sexual harassment, discrimination, and abuse at the company broke this summer.

Almost $40,000 has been raised by the GoFundMe since it was created early this morning.
