The debate of all-time anything in sports is always a topic that can last forever. There is an argument to be had over who is the greatest of all time in a sport.
One of the greatest scorers in NBA history is Allen Iverson. He shared his top five all-time starting lineups. The Answer has five.
Stephen Curry.
Michael Jordan.
Kobe Bryant.
James is a man.
The man is Shaquille O' Neal.
It is one hell of a collection of NBA greatness, whether you look at it as an all-time starting five or top five of all-time. The starting five might be the most unbeatable ever. You have Curry's shooting, Jordan's will to win, Bryant's Mamba mentality, James' leadership and all-around game, and Shaq's dominance. It's hard to see this squad losing a lot of games.
Some might argue in favor of replacing Curry with Magic Johnson or Kobe with Tim Duncan moving Lebron to the small forward position. Most of the players on the list are from the NBA. Except for Curry. Jordan and Iverson had a few battles, but they were very early in their careers. This famous crossover gave the better of Jordan. I can see why he chose these guys in his starting lineup, they were all around for most of Iverson's career. If not for Kobe and Shaq, he might have an NBA title.
It is likely that he would make an all-time scorer's top 5 or starting lineup. He has a scoring average of 26.66ppg. In four of his 14 seasons in the league, he averaged 30 points or more per game. Oscar Robertson and Jordan did it more times than anyone else. The most defensive era of the NBA of the late 90s through the mid-2000s is what Iverson did. He was a high-volume shooter, but he was on some 76ers teams. For a long time in Philadelphia, the first, second, and sometimes third option was Artificial Intelligence. The true definition of a bucket is what this term gets thrown around too much. He got it when his team needed it.
