New features like Polls, support for 4-person co-broadcasting via the "Live With" feature, new commenting features, and a new post format are some of the new features that Meta is introducing today.
The launch of the online Stars website on Tuesday was followed by a post by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg on his Facebook page that teased new additions and others still to come. The new online store is currently giving fans the same amount of Stars as they would pay inside the Facebook mobile app, but they are only available on the web.
One of the new features being announced today is featured links. This will allow creators to add website links to their live broadcasts which can be used to point fans to things like personal blogs, donation opportunities, shopping sites, and more. The company notes that creators will be able to add multiple links to a broadcast that viewers can visit without leaving the live video.
The Live With feature is being expanded to include the host and up to 3 guests.
Polls can be added to live videos on mobile. The feature was previously available on the desktop, but is now available on the mobile device.

The fan Badges experience has been changed to make it easier for creators to see which fans are supporting them when viewing the comments.
Meta will test a new experience that will allow creators to know who their most loyal fans are by placing them in a dedicated front row section of the live broadcast. This feature is similar to Clubhouse and could make it easier to identify their biggest fans during a live stream.

Live in Stories will allow creators to have their live videos discovered at the top of the News Feed. The feature allows creators to share live broadcasts to their fans.
When creators comment on public posts, they will have a Follow button next to their name and the post they comment on will show up on their followers' feeds. Their comments will be ranked higher on their own discussion threads so they are less visible. The creators will have their comments ranked first to ensure they get seen first.
The ability for creators to respond to comments quickly from their notifications is being added by Meta.
The company will be testing a new format called Spotlight Conversations which is designed to allow creators to better connect with their communities. Guests will be invited to participate in text-based conversations which appear as posts with two separate comment sections in different tabs, one for the creator and their guests and one for everyone else following along and discussing. The main discussion is the only one that people can follow.
A new test will show people content they may have missed from creators they follow directly in their News Feed.
The new feature will allow creators to quickly create new videos on the top of Facebook Watch.
The slate of new features on Facebook represents a hefty upgrade to the creator experience, which has sometimes seemed of less importance to the company than the one on the photo-sharing service, which is where many new features, like Reels, are first launched.
Over the course of the week, Meta has been releasing creator updates. The company also announced a new Professional Mode for creators on Facebook that gave them access to more monetization opportunities and analytics. There will be new controls and support features coming for creators which have not yet been detailed, as noted by the man.
