Hibernian: Jack Ross exits as head coach

Three weeks ago, Jack Ross guided Hibs to a League Cup semi-final win over Rangers.

Jack Ross left his job at Hibs just a week before he was to lead them out in the Scottish League Cup final.

After Wednesday's defeat by Livingston, the 45 year old's exit came after his side had only one league win in nine games.

Hibs are 11 points off the third place in the Scottish Premiership.

Jack said that he would take responsibility for the defeat.

The League Cup final will be played at the same time as the Leith side take on Celtic.

Ross took charge at Easter Road a month after his contract was terminated by Sunderland and led the club to a seventh-place finish and a third place finish in the Scottish Cup.

In the League Cup semi-final last month, Hibs beat Rangers in a match that was remembered for the three goals.

Ross said that the criticism that comes in the stand will direct it to him and not the players.

I've had a pretty positive time as a manager and I've had nearly 300 games. Your abilities are reflected in what your team gives you.

"You can't shy away from that and you can't refuse when you're asked about mounting pressure because it's the nature of the job."
