The ultimate weapon in the game was the Gjallarhorn. Some would argue that it was in need of a nerf because of its ability to create more explosions. The Gjallarhorn is going to become an official Nerf blaster, complete with Wolfpack Round-like cluster missiles of its own.

The digital Gjallarhorn is included in the $24.99 Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack, but you will have to pay a lot more for the Nerf version, which is one of the most expensive Nerf blasters ever. You can expect to pay over $200 for the pack, tax, and shipping if you get the Gjallarhorn in the game.
According to the official Gjallarhorn blaster store page, you will get something unique in exchange for the blaster. The Gjallarhorn is known for its explosions-within-explosion effect, which makes it sound like they are trying to replicate it with the Mega shell.

That sounds difficult, when you consider that the game will have a breech-loading mechanism similar to the one in the game, where you put a rocket canister into the back of the top bulge. You get three of the new Mega shells.
It is not clear how the Nerf Gjallarhorn might load those shells into the chamber, what kind of mechanism might provide enough oomph to fire them any distance, or where those darts might go while feeling impressive and staying within. It is a tall order and there are no guarantees. The awesome-looking Mandalorian Nerf blaster was panned by reviewers, though we definitely saw that coming. We have been trying to get answers from both companies.
It looks like an awesome prop, like the new Nerf Halo Needler and the Aliens pulse rifle that are also on the way. The Gjallarhorn won't be ready until late 2022.
The Gjallarhorn is one of the intriguing weapons from the past, as is the Forerunner, a stylized version of the famous magnum pistol. The M6H2.
