Every device and app has a cache. The cache stores temporary data, like pictures and icons, and lets your device load that data quickly. It can make games start quicker.
If your cache gets too full, it can cause your console to slow down.
Try clearing the cache to smooth things out if you are getting error messages.

Giving your PS4 a full power cycle is what it takes to clear your PS4's cache.
1. Turn off your PS4. Rest Mode won't work if it's completely turned off.
The indicator light on the PS4 will blink while it is shutting down. Wait until it stops blinking.

2. The power cord on the back of the console should be disconnected. The cord needs to be disconnected from the PS4 itself to clear the cache. The power cord might be different in the picture than it is in the picture.

3. Wait at least 30 seconds, then plug the cord back into the PS4 and turn it on.
