Los Angeles Chargers add Mike Williams, Chris Harris to reserve/COVID-19 list

The Los Angeles Clippers could be without two of their top players against the New York Giants on Sunday.

Mike Williams, who is second on the team in receiving yards and is tied for the team lead with seven receiving touchdown, was placed on the team's reserve/COVID-19 list.

The two players were placed on the list as close contacts and are not expected to play on Sunday.

The team's leading receiver, who had 86 catches and 928 yards, was put on the list after testing positive.

Allen would need two negative tests in 24 hours and a negative test in 48 hours before he could return. He would have to stay away from the team for a minimum of 10 days if unvaccinated.

Harris has two tackles and one intercept for the Bolts this season.

Los Angeles is in second place in the division and has the second wild-card spot.

There has been a recent run of COVID-19 cases. Linval Joseph is still in league protocols, as are Jerry Tillery, Christian Covington, and Drue Tranquill. Joey Bosa was unvaccinated and had to take a test to see if he was still alive for the Pittsburgh game.
