Chicago Bears' Justin Fields cleared, will start at QB vs. Green Bay Packers

The Chicago Bears will have a new starting quarterback this Sunday against the Green Bay Packers, according to coach Matt Nagy.

Nagy said that Fields has been medically cleared and that he has missed the past two games with an injury.

Fields' fractured ribs have healed, according to Nagy.

It's a pain deal that we can't really mimic for him. We don't listen to what he says and we don't listen to what our doctors say. We're ready to rock and roll when he's cleared like he is. Nagy said that he's the starter when he's healthy.

In the past two weeks, Fields has been the starter, but in Sunday's loss to Arizona, he threw four picks, and Andy had an injured hand.

Nagy said that the decision to start Fields wasn't based on the injury of Andy Dalton and that he wasn't sure if Nick Foles would be the backup for Sunday's game.

11 pick in this year's draft, Fields has completed 58.1% of his pass attempts this season, throwing for 1,361 yards with four touchdown and eight interception in 10 games. He has scored two times this season.
