Woods' last professional golf event was the Masters Tournament in 2020, where he tied for 38th place.

He had a severe leg injury when he lost control of his car on a winding roadway near Los Angeles and crashed into a tree on February 23, 2021, with Woods later saying he was "lucky" he didn't lose a leg.

Tiger Woods will return to compete with his son, Charlie, at next week's tournament in Florida, which was formerly known as the "Father/Son Challenge."

The event runs from December 18-19.

Although it has been a long and challenging year, I am very excited to close it out by competing in the NC Championship with my son Charlie, Woods said. I am playing as a Dad and am very proud.
