According to sources, Oklahoma has finalized a deal with Jeff Lebby to be the Sooners' new offensive line coach and will make him one of the highest-paid offensive line coaches in college football.

Lebby has been Ole Miss' offensive coach for the past two seasons and will be in Oklahoma on Wednesday. Sources told ESPN that his average annual salary will be $2 million.

Lebby was one of the people Venables wanted to hire as his offensive coordinator at Oklahoma.

Ole Miss has ranked in the top 5 nationally in total offense each of the past two seasons, thanks to the play calling of Lebby and Kiffin.

One of the top players in the country is Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral. He had more than 500 rushing and passing yards in a single season. He had 20 touchdown passes and 11 rushing touchdown, and threw just four picks. That's after throwing 14 picks up a year ago.

The past two seasons, Lebby was a semifinalist for the award. He was a student assistant at Oklahoma for four years before he suffered an injury that ended his playing career.

Lebby worked at UCF for six seasons and served as the Knights' offensive coordinator for the last four. He was the offensive coach at Southeastern University for two seasons. He spent nine seasons at Baylor and the last two as passing game coach.

Venables is following the same path as Bob Stoops when it comes to bringing in a cutting-edge offensive coach. Mike Leach was the first offensive coach at OU.
