There were gasps of shock when it was announced at the Paris Air Show how many seats it was putting on the A330neo. The -900neo aircraft in Manila has been adorned with 459 Recaro slimlines. The interior is well thought out.
It is obvious that this is the most dense aircraft in the world. Nine-abreast seating on the A330neo cabin is used exclusively by low-cost, charter and discount leisure carriers, and it is clear these seats are narrow. That is how air travel can be democratised.
This isn't an all-grey, lowest-common-denominator type of passenger experience. The cabin of this aircraft is modern and fresh, with the airline's cheerful blue and yellow palate crafted into an onboard environment that sets it apart.
Daniel Baron, managing director at LIFT Aero Design, says that the project was all about making the cabin more attractive. We focused on creating an environment that reflected their youthful and dynamic company.

The effect is a jaunty cabin, featuring the Airspace cabin entryway's overhead diamond pattern in a fresh teal colour, and the seatmaker's latest-generation seat, which the airline cites as coming from German seatmaker Recaro.
The main seat colour is a fairly standard mid-blue, with accents for the regular seats in a lighter sky blue. It is a bright mango orange-yellow for the extra-legroom, exit row and front rows of the aircraft.
The lavatories have a full wall of yellow-orange that pops in the space, as well as a micro-mango pattern on the front and back of the cabin.

It seems odd to say that a lavatory is a real highlight, but this is a great move from LIFT, setting the airline apart, and Baron is rightfully proud of it.
There is at-seat power available, with two units per row of three that look like a combination of the two types of power.

There is a clear and upfront honesty about what the brand offers.
The personal space is small, but so are the prices. For a country with a lot of money coming in from overseas Filipino workers, many of whom want to spend less on travel, this is an option that may mean the difference between visiting family back home or not.
sympathies with this situation may be different from those at the Paris Air Show, as many people have been prevented from seeing loved ones for nearly two years.
