Premium credit cards give access to the airport lounge. The Capital One Venture X rewards credit card is the most lucrative path to a Priority Pass membership of any premium credit card, in my opinion.
The card also offers a $300 annual travel credit, 10K anniversary bonus miles, access to Capital One Lounges, and more.
I wanted to provide an updated look at how the Priority Pass membership works, especially as I received my card in the mail, so I did that.

Priority Pass membership for the Capital One Venture X gives access to airport lounges around the world for the primary cardmember and authorized users. Up to two guests can be brought with the cardmember when they visit the lounge.
Let's go over the details of the Priority Pass membership.

Priority Pass is the largest network of independent airport lounges in the world. Priority Pass is a program that pays third party lounges to admit its members. Priority Pass is a perk on many premium credit cards, and you can buy it directly.

How do you sign up for Priority Pass?
I received my credit card in the mail two days after I was approved for the Capital One Venture X, which is much quicker than Capital One states.
Prioritypass.com/capitalone is where cardmembers can enroll. You have to enter your Capital One Venture X card number at the link.
The first thing you have to do is choose your country of residence.
The next page will tell you that the Priority Pass membership is free.
You will have to register your account through five different pages. The card won't be charged, but this is just to verify that you're supposed to get a free membership.
After they enroll, Priority Pass cardholders will get instant access to their digital card, and will be mailed a physical card.
It took me about two weeks to get my card in the mail. My Priority Pass card number has 11 digits, and at least my card number starts with 104.

People with multiple Priority Pass cards can often get confused about which card was issued with which credit card, so this can be worth mentioning in terms of guesting privileges, access to Priority Pass restaurants, etc.
Do authorized users get Priority Pass memberships?
You can add up to four authorized users to the Capital One Venture X at no extra cost, and they will each receive a Priority Pass membership as well. Priority Pass memberships are free for authorized users on many cards.

How often can you go to the lounge?
The Capital One Venture X offers unlimited lounge visits with the Priority Pass membership. You can visit multiple lounges at a particular airport, but you can also visit lounges as many days as you want. If you travel the same day, there are no limits on how often you can access airport lounges.

How many people can you have in the lounge?
You can take up to two guests with you into lounges on a complimentary basis with the Priority Pass membership. The guests may have to present a same day boarding pass if they are accompanying you. You can take two guests with you into Priority Pass lounges for an unlimited number of times.
Priority Pass has a website where you can find all the information about lounges that may have capacity limits and not allow two guests.
Can you use Priority Pass?
There are many Priority Pass restaurants. Priority Pass members can receive a credit towards food and drinks in lieu of access to a lounge at select airport restaurants.
Priority Pass memberships can be used for credits at Priority Pass restaurants. The policy of the card is in line with the policy of the Chase Reserve Card, which doesn't offer credits at these restaurants.

Can you use your Priority Pass to access the Capital One Lounges?
The first Capital One Lounge opened at DFW and is now open at other airports. You can access them with your credit card, rather than with your Priority Pass membership, if you have the Capital One Venture X. The Priority Pass membership doesn't get you access to the Capital One Lounges, even if you have a Capital One credit card.

I have had people point out that Priority Pass has a membership cost range from 99 to $429 annually. If you purchase a membership directly from Priority Pass, you will get that membership included with your credit card.
Priority Pass sells memberships to credit card companies, which give them as perks to cardmembers, and it sells memberships directly to consumers. The Capital One Venture X Priority Pass membership is free. It won't cost you more to join and visit the lounges.
The Capital One Venture X membership is close to the $429 "Prestige" membership, in terms of perks, for what it's worth. That is higher than the card's annual fee.

The Venture X has the lowest annual fees of any card with a Priority Pass membership.
Most of the annual fee should be recovered from the $300 annual travel credit and 10,000 anniversary bonus miles, which are worth more than the fee.
You can add up to four authorized users to the Venture X, and each of them will get a Priority Pass membership for free.
There is no other card that is open to new applicants that doesn't charge for authorized users and offers Priority Pass membership. This card is used by people looking for Priority Pass memberships for themselves and also for friends and family.

The Capital One Venture X has a lot of perks. Priority Pass membership is issued by the card. You can take two guests with you to 1,300+ lounges around the world, and have access to unlimited visits. Priority Pass restaurants have credits included with this benefit.
I think this is the most lucrative credit card out there for getting a Priority Pass membership, in terms of the card's annual fee, how much of that you recover with ongoing perks, and the ability to get Priority Pass memberships for your authorized users.
