The last of three costumes worn by Will Ferrell in the 2003 Christmas film Elf is going to be auctioned off on Wednesday at an estimated price of at least $50,000.

Jon Berg is the producer of Elf, and he currently owns the costume from the movie.
The costume will be auctioned off by Bonhams in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
The costume is estimated to sell for between $50,000 and $70,000.
There is a inscription on the inside of the costume.
Berg told the Hollywood Reporter that he will donate a portion of his earnings to a charity named after his nephew that is trying to raise money for Hunter syndrome research.

Elf is the highest grossing Christmas movie of all time, bringing in $173 million in domestic box office earnings on a $33 million budget. In October, he told the Hollywood Reporter that he turned down a $29 million offer to reprise his role in an Elf sequel because he didn't want to promote a subpar film as a cash grab.
The most ever for an on-set item was $5.37 million for the Robby the Robot prop from the movie Forbidden Planet. The car that was used in the filming of Goldfinger sold for $6.4 million in 2019, but it sold for $4.7 million in 2010.
