New Yorkers have a new nightmare.
The New York Post reported that a woman gave birth in a car that was stuck in traffic as her husband tried to get her to the hospital.
The traffic was on 5th Avenue in Manhattan's Midtown neighborhood, which is home to the busy Times Square and is one of the worst places to be in the US. It was on a Sunday in early December, when shoppers were always in the streets.
The Model X is far more luxurious than having to give birth on the New York City subway. It could have presented serious risks for the mother and child if the woman's husband had been an OB.
The woman and her baby are fine, according to the Post, and it seems like the Model X doors helped get them out and onto a stretcher so they could take an ambulance to the hospital.
This woman was not the first to give birth in a car this year, nor the first to do so on the busy streets of NYC.
Allison Goldfarb gave birth to her second child in the front seat of her husband's car, just after she got off the George Washington Bridge, which is between New Jersey and upper Manhattan. She and her husband both had COVID-19 at the time, which is worse than driving through Midtown on a Sunday before Christmas.
The childbirth stories feel like they are part of the circle of life if people are shooting porn inside a tesla. One person on the social networking site suggested that it may be time for Musk to introduce a birthing mode to his electric cars.
