Adele’s ‘30’ Becomes First Album This Year To Cross One Million Sales, Despite Decreasing CD Sales

According to figures from music sales tracker MRC Data, the album sold 692,000 CD, vinyl and digital album downloads in the first week of its release and 225,000 copies in the second week.

The record sales come as the single "Easy On Me" continues to dominate the Hot 100 list, notching a sixth week as number one.

Her previous album 25 sold 3.6 million physical copies in its first week of release.

The Recording Industry Association of America said in the first half of the year that streaming sales were the main source of music revenue. 10% and 5% of the sales were CD and vinyl.
