The internal app used to communicate with drivers isn't working, leaving packages stranded in vans and unable to reach customers

Amazon Flex workers who use their own vehicles to deliver packages can't log on and receive assignments.

In an internal memo, the company said it is currently monitoring a network-wide technical outage and should drivers be unable to continue delivering due to the outage, go to a nearby safe location and stand by, CNBC reported.
The workers were told to wait in the break rooms until the service resumed, according to CNBC.
The time is at 3:30 p.m. The cause of the outage is an impairment of several network devices, and the company does not have an hour for full recovery, according to an update on its status dashboard.

An Amazon spokesman told Forbes that the outage is affecting Amazon Operations and other customers and that the team is working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
