Tyson Fury wants to face his next opponent.

The World Boxing Council ordered Tyson Fury to defend his title against Dillian Whyte, who had been the organization's top contender for more than 1,000 days.

Top Rank has one fight remaining on the contract of Tyson Fury, who is currently competing under the Matchroom banner. If there is no deal between the sides, the rights to the fight will be auctioned off.

"I'm due an easy fight anyway, Whyte would have been ideal really", said the boxer. I'm after a heavy bag on legs. He was the ideal candidate.

When they make him a mandatory challenger, I will defend my belt and butcher him.

The King said he will fight in February or March. The fight is being eyed for the spring in the U.K.

Since then, he has risen to the top of the sport with a trio of fights against Deontay Wilder that culminated in October with an 11th-round knockout.

The bouts were staged in Las Vegas and Los Angeles, with the last one in the United States lifting him to fame. He's the No. 1 boxer on the network.

There's no guarantee that he'll fight Whyte next. Talks have been held regarding step- aside money for Anthony Joshua to allow him to avoid a fight with Oleksandr Usyk so that he can fight Tyson Fury for the undisputed title.

If he doesn't face Whyte next, it's likely that he'll be stripped of his title.

The Londoner lost to Alexander Povetkin in a fourth-round knockout. The bout with Otto Wallin was supposed to take place in October, but he withdrew with a shoulder injury.

In addition to his knockout loss to Joshua in 2015, Whyte has victories over Joseph Parker and Derek Chisora.

Last month, Whyte posted on the social media site that the "coward"Fury really doesn't want any smoke. It will be a special night, I can't wait for it.
