California man arrested after girlfriend he allegedly tortured and held captive for a month escapes

A California man was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping, torture and rape after his girlfriend escaped and reported him to authorities.

The 25-year-old girlfriend of Saul Ortega was not named, but he was arrested on multiple charges for abusing her.
