The outage that started this morning might be worse than thought. The apps that keep warehouse, delivery, and Amazon Flex workers connected are also down, and that is not only because it is cutting off some streams from Amazon Prime Video, Disney Plus, and Netflix.

The US-East-1 region has elevated error rates for the EC2 application programming interface, meaning that connections from one of its largest server operations are spotty at best. The AtoZ app that manages practically everything about their jobs is not accessible to many people.

Warehouse workers have reported that their facilities have been shut down due to network problems and that they have posted pictures of the automated shelves sitting motionless. Truck drivers used pen and paper forms to check out their loads.

The delivery service partners said that the app they use to communicate with Amazon is down, leaving vans sitting on the road.

The most recent update from Amazon said that they were pursuing multiple paths in parallel and had seen some signs of recovery, but they did not have an exact time frame for full recovery.
