The Indiana Pacers are moving toward a substantial rebuild and are expected to open up trade conversations around some of their veteran stalwarts, according to Shams Charania and Bob Kravitz of The Athletic.
Caris LeVert is said to be the focus of those talks, as well as either Domantas or Myles Turner. Malcolm Brogdon isn't eligible to be dealt this season because he's already signed a two-year extension.
All three players have received interest from rival teams.

The Pacers will try to rebuild through the draft and trades and give more playing time to rookies Chris Duarte and Isaiah Jackson.

The former has been very good, shooting 34.6% from three and averaging 13.1 points 4.1 rebound and two assists. The latter has appeared in just five games because of a hyperextended left knee, though clearing out some veterans would open more avenues to playing time in the future.
The trade market is likely to feature Sabonis. The 25-year-old is a two-time All-Star, though he's averaging a modest 17.9 points per game to go along with averages of 12.0 rebound and 4.1 assists. In Indiana, the question has been whether he and Turner could play together at a high level.
It would appear that the answer is no, given the start to the season.
Turner, 25, is shooting 39.5 percent from the field and is averaging 12.6 points, 7.5 rebound and an impressive 2.8 blocks per game. He's an effective rim-protector with the ability to stretch the floor on the offensive end, which is different to the one that Sabonis is. The big man is a beast on the boards and in the low post and is shooting 27.9% from three.
LeVert has struggled through injuries but has been very good when he is healthy, as the Pacers are having a down year, with LeVert's lowest point total since the 2018-19 season. He's shooting from three at a rate of 25.9%.

T.J. McConnell might be done for the season after having surgery to repair torn ligaments in his right hand, according to a report from Adrian Wojnarowski.
