NBA memo warns unvaccinated players in United States, Canada about cross-border travel

According to a memo obtained by Adrian Wojnarowski, any NBA player with a temporary visa who leaves the country will be unable to re-enter the United States.

An unvaccinated player would not be allowed to return to the United States after playing in Canada. If a player travels outside of the US during All-Star Weekend, the same applies.

The NBA told teams on Tuesday that unvaccinated players will not be allowed to travel to Toronto to play games in January. The teams are told to distribute the memo by Friday.

Canadian law requires all visitors to be vaccine free.

If you meet the criteria for limited exceptions, you can enter into Canada, but you have to stay there for 14 days.

The league office needs a list of unvaccinated players by Friday. According to sources, more than half of the NBA players have received booster shots.
