With more questions from prosecutors, the testimony of Elizabeth Holmes is set to continue into its third week.
The founder of the blood testing start-up Theranos faces charges of deceiving investors and patients with claims she made about the company. The company raised $945 million in funding and conducted millions of blood tests before dissolving.
Ms.Holmes was cross-examined last week over evidence that connected her to the problems with Theranos tests. She has resisted the idea that she knew she was deceiving people.
Her testimony is expected to end on Tuesday, and her lawyers could end their defense as soon as this week.
In court, prosecutors have shown personal documents like text messages and notes that she wrote while she was the chief executive and founder of Theranos.
They have used reports on Theranos to find investors and business partners. Ms.Holmes admitted that she altered the language and added logos of drug companies to the reports. She wished she had done it differently.

The lawyers for Ms. Holmes tried to show that there were some things that were not true. Emails from former lab directors sharing the results of successful tests and discussions about potential work with the military were used.
Other communications made it clear that Ms. Holmes was aware of the problems. They pointed out that no discussions between Theranos and the military resulted in the kinds of contracts that Ms.Holmes had claimed. She told investors that Theranos had blood-testing machines on the battlefield.
Nothing ever came from that talk, right? Robert Leach was an assistant U.S. attorney. It was just talking?
The testimony of Ms. Holmes about her former boyfriend and a former Theranos executive overshadowed everything else. Ms. Holmes accused Mr. Balwani of emotional and physical abuse. She said that Mr. Balwani affected her leadership. She cried on the stand when she was asked to read text messages between herself and Mr. Balwani.
The two people were charged together. Both pleaded not guilty. Mr. Balwani will be tried next year.
