Elon Musk says there are

Musk said that there are not enough people.

At the Wall Street Journal's annual CEO Council, the father of six said that the low birth rate was one of the biggest risks to civilization.

Smart people think that there are too many people in the world and that the population is growing out of control. It's not the same. If people don't have more children, civilization is going to fall, he said.

Musk was responding to a question about how he could solve labor issues. Musk says that the robot will be built using artificial intelligence and that it will be a human. Musk said at the August event that The Bot would be able to travel at around 5 m.p.h and could deadlift up to 150 pounds.

Musk told the CEO Council that theTeslaBot could be a generalized substitute for human labor over time.

The global birthrate has been declining since 1960 according to the World Bank.
At the same event, Musk said he doesn't think people should try to live for a long time.

Most of the time, people don't change their minds, they just die. He said that if they live forever, we might become a very ossified society.
I'm not making fun of aging. If we have people in very important positions that have to make decisions that are critical to the security of the country, then they need to have enough presence of mind and cognitive ability to make those decisions well, because the whole country is depending on them," Musk said.

Last week, he suggested that people over 70 should not be allowed to run for political office.
