The New York Times reported that Donald Trump's blood oxygen level plummeted to a dangerous low when he had a heart attack.
The former White House chief of staff revealed in his new book that he had a secret.
It's clear that Trump's denial that his bout with COVID-19 was not as bad as it seemed was not true.
In the book, he referred to Dr. Sean P. Conley as the doctor who delivered the bad news. Although the president's condition had improved slightly overnight, his oxygen levels had now dipped down to about 86 percent and could be a dangerously low level for someone his age.
The doctors decided to put the president on oxygen in the residence and hope for the best.
According to The Times, the former president was wearing a T-shirt with disheveled hair and red streaks in his eyes when he was visited by the author of the book.
Trump weighed around ten pounds when he couldn't carry his briefcase because he had lost so much strength.
The book's revelations about the Trump White House caused Trump to backtrack on his support of the book.
"'The Chief's Chief' would make an incredible Christmas present, and with the United States supply lines completely dead, and with thousands of ships having no way of unloading because of incompetent leadership, you will have no other thing you can buy anyways," Trump said in a statement on October "Mark and his wife are great people, and it's a great book."
Trump lashed out at the media after it was revealed that he tested positive for COVID-19 three days before his first presidential debate against Joe Biden.
"The story of me having evidence prior to the first debate is fake news," Trump said in a statement. I did not have conclusive evidence before the debate.
Representatives for Trump didn't reply to Insider's request for comment. Representatives at the Conservative Partnership Institute did not respond to Insider's emails.
