The global chip shortage has claimed another camera from Sony. The ZV-E10 is a vlogging camera that Sony released in August, and is being suspended.
The ZV-E10 will no longer be sold by Sony on its store or through any of its distributors, according to a post on its website. The effects of global Semiconductor shortages are delaying the procurement of parts for digital image products.
This is not the only device that Sony has stopped selling.
This is not the only device that Sony has stopped selling. The A7 II, A6400, and A1600 series cameras, along with the ECM-B1M shotgun mic and the PXW-Z190 camcorder, were stopped by Sony in November. In April, Sony put the camcorder on hold. The Sony A9 is no longer available on both B&H Photo and Adorama. The six-year-old Sony A7R II is also unavailable on online stores.
Camera companies are struggling to make enough products to meet the demands of consumers. The Z7 and Z7 II cameras were not included with the EH-7P AC adapter due to lack of parts. The shipping delays for Canon's new R3 and X-S10 were announced earlier this year, along with delays for other camera gear.
