Fuel leak delays Atlas V rocket launch to early Tuesday morning: Watch it live

The Space Test Program-3 mission is scheduled to launch at 4:04 a.m. on the Atlas V rocket. The space force station is in Florida. You can watch the launch live at Space.com, courtesy of ULA, or directly via the company.

The planned launch of the STP-3 rocket was canceled after a leak was discovered in the ground system. ULA representatives explained on the weekend that fixing the leak and making sure that the system is working resulted in a 48 hour delay.

The Department of Defense's Space Test Program sponsors most of the technology-demonstrating satellites that will be launched by STP 3. We know a bit about a few of the classified ones.

The larger of the two satellites, called STPSat6, has a NASA laser-communication system and a National Nuclear Security Administration payload that is designed to detect the detonation of nuclear bombs from space.

Good Morning America host and former NFL star Michael Strahan and Laura Shepard Churchley, the oldest daughter of Alan Shepard, will be going to suborbital space with six other people.
