Chris Cuomo, fired by CNN, announces he's leaving SiriusXM radio show

Chris Cuomo, a former CNN anchor, announced Monday that he was leaving the satellite radio network.

Cuomo said in a post that his time at CNN was hard and that he needed to take a step back and focus on what comes next.

He was fired by CNN for violating the company's ethical standards.

The New York Attorney General's Office released transcripts last month that show Cuomo played a role in assisting his brother Andrew Cuomo, the former governor of New York, in crafting a media response to allegations of sexual harassment. Text messages show he used his media contacts to look into his brother's accusers.

Cuomo hosted a two-hour program on the satellite radio company. Brian Ross was the host of the show "Let's Get After It".

A spokesman for the company wouldn't say if it had decided to end its relationship with Cuomo.

Chris' show will no longer air, the spokesman said.
