After giving away Spider-Man, AMC is giving away NFTs to its stock owners.
Current members of the investor rewards program, called Investor Connect, and those who join by the end of the year will receive a free non-fungible, the company said.

The Monday press release said that the image contained in the NFT is that of a moving and glimmering gold embossed which proclaims "I Own AMC."

The first buyers of tickets to the Spider-Man movie premiere were given 86,000 digital token by AMC at the end of November. AMC Chief Executive Officer Adam Aron said that the offering helped generate the movie chain's second best one-day sales for the premiere.

Aron wrote on Monday that he was thrilled to announce their second ever NFT, given the success of AMC's Spider-Man. He said the chain would give one token to each member.

This isn't the first time AMC picked up on a trend. The company is a meme stock. Its CEO is on a popular channel on the internet. The company hopes to add meme-coin shiba inu next.

NFTs, digital pieces of art that are tied to the ledger, have been in high demand this year. According to research from Coin Telegraph, total NFT sales are expected to hit $17.7 billion this year. Metaverse enthusiasts believe that NFTs are the key to unlocking the next iteration of the internet.
