The team behind the memecoin said that they will launch their own metaverse in February of next year.

A person with the Floki inu project told Insider on Monday that the virtual world will be a gaming metaverse where people can play to earn NFTs.

The PlayToEarn NFT gaming metaverse will have its first version in February 2022, and some of our utility products will launch this month.

The metaverse is an overall term for 3-D digital worlds where people can live, work and play. Some metaverses are gaining fans, including Axie Infinity, which rewards players of its games. Digital real estate that has sold for millions of dollars is the basis of Decentraland.

According to data from Macro Hive, cryptocurrencies related to the Metaverse have surged an eye-catching 37,000% this year. Floki inu is down by over 50% since a month ago.

The metaverse could become a trillion-dollar opportunity according to leading mainstream investors.

According to NonFungible data, The Sandbox sold $70.6 million worth of NFTs over the past seven days. Decentraland had a total of $6 million.

The marketing campaign of the Floki inu project is reaching a wide audience. This has reached 15 countries, including the UK, and is displayed at airports and on public transport. It has sports partnerships with India's Kerala Blasters and Germany's Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
The brand awareness we're creating for Floki right now will help us position the utility products to be used and adopted when they launch," the spokesman said.
The project has run into trouble because of its London marketing push for Floki inu, which caused concern about unregulated assets.
