A San Francisco restaurant was flooded with hundreds of one-star reviews after staff refused to serve three armed police officers.
The owners of the breakfast restaurant apologized for their actions.
Three police officers came to the restaurant on Friday.
The staff asked them to leave because they were not comfortable with their multiple weapons.
A post was shared by Jesse and Hilda.
The restaurant was described as a "safe space" by the post and the presence of the officers weapons made us feel uncomfortable. Asking them to leave was not a political statement.
The co-owner of the restaurant said that the restaurant was a safe place for people of all genders. Black, Indigenous, and people of color are referred to as BIPOC.
She said police officers could have made people uncomfortable.

The restaurant was flooded with one-star reviews after the post was published on Saturday.
The restaurant's page was added to by Yelp, which said it had temporarily stopped accepting reviews because they mostly did not relate to people's experience dining there.
The decision to remove the police officers was cited in many of the reviews. I would not recommend a San Francisco business that discriminates against the SFPD. Shame on you!
On Sunday evening, the co-owners apologized on their social media accounts.
They apologized for asking the San Francisco Police Department to leave their restaurant.
We are grateful to the members of the force who keep us safe.
We hope this will be a learning moment for us as we repair and build bridges with the SFPD.
We handled this badly during these times.
