Newcastle remove Sports Direct signs from St James' Park



After taking over the club in October, new co-owner Amanda Staveley said she would take down the signs as soon as possible.

Fans were delighted to see the Sports Direct signs removed from around St James' Park stadium.

The previous owner of the sports retail firm had the signs on each side of the stadium, and the new owner thinks they are a bad sign.

The work will continue this week.

It is hoped that they will be removed before the game.
