The Baltimore Ravens lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, but they also took a huge hit to their defense.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Ravens are expected to be without their starting corner for the rest of the season with a shoulder injury.

Humphrey's injury could be one of several different things, though the exact nature won't be known until the MRI.

The 16th overall pick in the draft, Humphrey has been one of the most consistent defenders in his five-year career as he has missed just three games. He was leading the Ravens with 13 passes defended and was second on the team with 55 tackles.

Humphrey has been to the Pro Bowl in each of the past two seasons. He led the NFL with eight forced turnovers. He was a first-team All-Pro in the year 2019.

Losing a player of Humphrey's caliber is bad news for Baltimore. The Ravens are no longer in first place after Sunday's loss.
Tavon Young is the next man up on the depth chart, and he will have to spend some time on the outside after playing primarily as a slot corner this year. He failed to record a tackle on Sunday.

Jimmy Smith should get more playing time in Humphrey's absence. He had four tackles in the game.

The Ravens will play the Cleveland Browns next Sunday.
