It was a shame that Nintendo used the phrase "everyone is here!" for Super Smash Bros. The online gaming homunculus of the intellectual property company, which is known as the "ip", is back after the end of Chapter Two yesterday.
The Daily Bugle is one of the locations you can explore in the new island if you buy the battle pass, and the wallcrawler is now a playable character. It doesn't sound like J. Jonah Jameson will be there to comment on your actions. Chapter Three introduces swinging mechanics to help you get around quicker because a game that doesn't let Spider-Man swing may as well not include him at all.
Spider-Man is not the only intellectual property being added to the game. The Foundation, the armored character that first appeared in Chapter Two, is voiced and modeled after wrestler-turned-author, D.J. Johnson. Johnson will be a battle pass item along with Marcus and Kait. It was weird to see Johnson smooth as hell in the game, even though he was involved in the event. It feels like we are closer to a reality where a movie is a thing with the expensive CG cutscene marking his debut into the game. You can see it in the video.
It is something to watch this all play out as a narrative set piece. As the players watch the Pyramid and the Queen are destroyed, there is a sense of finality as the island is flipped upside down. With a new island to explore, there will be more weird things to see and do over the next year or two.
