Spokesman for Chris Cuomo denies sexual misconduct allegation

Chris Cuomo was fired by CNN on Saturday over revelations that he used his media sources to help his brother. The New York Times reported that Andrew Cuomo has been accused of sexual harassment.
The anchor was suspended by CNN on November 30 after the New York Attorney General's office released transcripts that showed his involvement in advising his older brother during the politician's sexual harassment scandal.

CNN terminated the law firm that was hired to conduct the review immediately, it said in a statement Saturday evening. Additional information has come to light during the review. We will investigate despite the fact that they terminated us.

According to The Times, an employment lawyer told CNN that a former junior colleague at a different network has accused Cuomo of sexual harassment.
The allegations were unrelated to the Gov. Andrew Cuomo matter. She told the Times that the client came forward because she was disgusted by Chris Cuomo's on-air statements.

Steven Goldberg denied the allegations.

Goldberg told The Times that if the goal was to see Mr. Cuomo punished by CNN, that may explain his unwarranted dismissal.

The Times reported that it's not clear if these allegations factored into Cuomo's dismissal.

CNN had cause to fire Chris due to the report we received regarding his conduct with his brother's defense. We saw no reason to delay taking action when new allegations came to us this week.

CNN and Katz did not respond to Insider's requests for comment.
