Sometimes passengers are put up in a hotel by their airline, which is worse than sleeping in the airport. It probably isn't worse than sleeping inside the O'Hare airport. Robicelli stayed up all night. She explored.
There is a secret passageway in terminal 2. The public can access the service hallway, but the lights are dim so it is hard to walk by. If you are looking for it, you can only see that sign. This would be a great base camp for a search.

I rode back and forth on the sidewalks because no one came into the corridor for 20 minutes.

She made it to Baltimore the next day after McDonalds opened. She did photo shoots at different airports and registered her preferences. She likes terminal 3. There is a huge difference between the two airports when it comes to access to Tortas Frontera.
She did not discover Al Capone's connection to the O'Hare airport while she was there, even though it's on the airside.
There are two ways to play it when you are stuck at the airport.
If you bought your ticket with a credit card that provides trip delay coverage, you should bill it for your hotel overnight, transportation and meals. At O'Hare, the Hilton is connected and easy to walk.
